To ignite the spirit of business acumen, our school hosted an exhilarating Commerce Quiz for our senior students. Participants tackled challenging rounds on current affairs, economic policies, and financial management, showcasing their deep understanding of the global market. The competition tested not only their textbook knowledge but also their analytical thinking and awareness of the corporate world. This event proved to be a fantastic platform for our future entrepreneurs to sharpen their skills and foster healthy academic rivalry.

In alignment with the CBSE initiative, DAVSSS observed Jal Pakhwada from 16th to 30th April 2026 to champion water conservation. Our students passionately engaged in a series of theme-based activities, including a solemn Jal Shapath, creative painting, and thought-provoking essay and slogan writing. The campaign also featured high-energy debates and digital PPT presentations, all aimed at promoting rainwater harvesting and sustainable water habits. This fortnight-long drive successfully ignited a sense of responsibility toward preserving our most precious resource.

Our students recently embarked on an inspiring educational visit to the Rashtrapati Bhavan, exploring the majestic residence of the President of India. A major highlight was the walk through Amrit Udyan, where they marvelled at the vibrant floral displays and serene herbal gardens. The journey continued at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, offering an immersive look into India's democratic heritage through interactive exhibits and rare artefacts. This visit provided a unique blend of history, horticulture, and national pride, leaving a lasting impression on our young learners. It was truly an unforgettable experience that brought our nation’s rich legacy to life.

An insightful in-house training session focused on Gender Sensitivity in the Classroom conducted as part of the CBSE Capacity Building Programme. The workshop empowered educators to identify and address gender biases, fostering an environment where every student feels valued and respected. Through interactive discussions, teachers explored strategies for using gender-neutral language and ensuring equal participation in all school activities. This initiative reinforces our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and balanced learning space for all.

Our school corridors radiated festive charm as students participated in a vibrant Rangoli Making and Diya Decoration Competition. With meticulous detail and a riot of colors, participants turned simple floors into masterpieces and plain clay lamps into artistic treasures. This event beautifully showcased our students' creative flair and their deep connection to our cultural heritage. It was a brilliant celebration of light, art, and the festive spirit of Diwali!

Our campus recently buzzed with festive joy as students showcased their artistry during our Karwa Chauth and Mehndi Celebration. In a beautiful display of tradition and skill, our talented students applied intricate henna designs on the hands of both teachers and parents. This heartwarming event fostered a wonderful bond between the school and home through creativity and culture. It was a proud moment of community spirit and shared celebration.

Our school hosted an enriching CBSE Capacity Building Programme focused on STEM: Implementing Creativity into Classrooms. The session empowered our educators with innovative strategies to blend Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through hands-on, creative problem-solving. By integrating design thinking and artistic inquiry, teachers learned to transform traditional lessons into interactive, real-world experiences. This initiative reinforces our commitment to nurturing 21st-century skills and fostering a culture of curiosity among our students.

The Commerce Faculty of our school recently organized a vibrant and informative exhibition under the guidance of Ms. Asha Tanwar (PGT Commerce), with valuable support from Ms. Meenakshi Pushkarna and Mr. Krishan. The exhibition featured creative and well-researched exhibits prepared by our students, covering a wide range of topics, including: Principles of Management, Principles of Accounting, Role of Banks in Business, GST Systems, Modern Marketing Strategies, RBI’s Control on the Indian Economy, Insurance and Aids to Trade, Role & Need of Effective Communication in Trade, Use of Market Analysis Tools, Risk Management Practices, …and more. Our students confidently explained the contents of their exhibits to visiting parents, guests, and fellow students, showcasing not only their academic knowledge but also their communication and presentation skills.

DAV Senior Secondary School commemorated Kargil Diwas—honouring the bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers—and celebrated Haryali Teej, the joyous festival of monsoon and harvest. To mark these occasions, a Painting Competition was held on 25th July, where students showcased their creativity while paying tribute to these significant events.

DAV Senior Secondary School hosted an engaging Declamation Competition for Grade 11 students on the theme “शुभांशु शुक्ला अंतरिक्ष में”. The event celebrated India’s remarkable achievements in space research and highlighted the contributions of Indian scientists to global space exploration. Participants impressed the audience with their eloquence, knowledge, and passion for astronautics. The top three speakers were honoured with certificates and mementos for their outstanding performances.

Conclusion of 20-Day Summer Sports Camp & Yoga Day Celebration The school successfully concluded its 20-day Summer Sports Camp with enthusiastic participation from students and teachers. The final day featured the celebration of International Yoga Day, where yoga activities were led by instructor Mr. Ranjeet in the esteemed presence of Dr. Parmeshwar Arora Dr. S.P. Gautam, President of the ceremony, emphasized the importance of yoga and sports in overall personality development. Principal Mr. Subhash Adlakha also addressed the gathering and said that such activities not only build physical strength but also promote discipline, focus, and teamwork among students. Milk, fruits, and sweets were distributed to all participants, and the event concluded on a joyful and healthy note.

DATE- 17TH MAY 2025 Teachers from DAV attended an enriching Workshop on Value Education held at PBN School, IFFCO Chowk, Gurugram. The session was conducted by Dr. Sneh Bansal, esteemed resource person from COE Panchkula (Center of Excellence), CBSE. The workshop focused on integrating core human values into teaching practices and emphasized the vital role of educators in shaping ethical, responsible, and empathetic individuals. Through interactive discussions and practical activities, teachers explored new strategies to implement value-based learning in their classrooms. The session was highly insightful and inspiring, leaving educators motivated to foster a value-rich environment in their schools.

DATE-27TH APRIL 2025 Personality Development Workshop A 2-day workshop on Personality Development was held for Class 12 students, conducted by Ms. Bhavna Gurung from Stand Beyond Education. Around 240 students actively participated in the sessions focused on communication skills, moral values, and critical thinking. Ms. Gurung engaged students with interactive activities and insightful discussions, encouraging them to build confidence, think critically, and uphold strong principles. The workshop was a valuable learning experience that left a lasting impact on the students.

News Letter for the Year 2022-2023

The Independence Day school celebration is an occasion to commemorate the significance of India's freedom struggle and the day when India gained independence from British rule. The celebration begins with a flag hoisting ceremony followed by the singing of the national anthem. Patriotic songs and dances are performed by the students to celebrate the day and to pay homage to the freedom fighters who fought for India's independence.
